祈禱是我們與天主溝通的方式

教會的祈禱生活，通常有三個主要的表達方式：口禱、默想和心禱。三者的共通之處，是收斂心神。祈禱是天主與人在基督內結盟的關係。它是天主的行動，也是人的行動；它發自聖神，也出自信友們與降生成人的天主聖子的人性意願相結合，而完全指向天主聖父。

祈禱是舉心歸向天主，同天主說話，虔誠的表達信友的心意、或讚頌、或感謝、或懺悔、或求助。因為我們相信天主是我們的慈父，是以兒女之情向天主慈父表達我們的心意。

祈禱的泉源

聖經、聖傳與信望愛三德是祈禱的泉源。聖經是天主的聖言，信友讀聖經即是聽天主說話並進入祈禱的境界。基督和聖神的使命即是在教會的聖事禮儀中宣報，並實現救恩的奧蹟到人的心中，引人祈禱；信友為進入祈禱，必須對天主先懷有信望愛三德。

  • The Sign of the Cross 聖號經： (是教會與信友向天主聖三的名呼求。)

    因父，及子，及聖神之名，阿們。
    In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  • Apostles Creed 信經： (是整個教會和基督徒對信仰的宣認。)

    （文言文）: 我信全能者天主聖父，化成天地。我信唯一聖子、耶穌基利斯督我等主。我信其因聖神降孕，生於瑪利亞之童身。我信其受難，於般雀比辣多居官時，被釘十字架，死而乃瘞。我信其降地獄，第三日自死者中復活。我信其升天，坐於全能者天主聖父之右。我信其日後從彼而來，審判生死者。我信聖神，我信有聖而公教會，諸聖相通功。我信罪之赦。我信肉身之復活。我信常生。阿門。

    （白話文）: 我信全能的天主父，天地萬物的創造者。我信父的唯一子，我們的主耶穌基督。我信祂因聖神降孕，由童貞瑪利亞誕生。我信祂在比拉多執政時蒙難，被釘在十字架上，死而安葬。我信祂下降陰府，第三日從死者中復活。我信祂升了天，坐在全能天主父的右邊。我信祂要從天降來，審判生者死者。我信聖神。我信聖而公教會，諸聖的相通。我信罪過的赦免。我信肉身的復活，我信永恆的生命。阿們。

    I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
    I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
    I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

  • The Lord Prayer 天主經： (又稱主禱文，是主耶穌親自教門徒祈禱的經文。)

    （文言文）: 在天我等父者，我等願爾名見聖，爾國臨格，爾旨承行於地，如於天焉。我等望爾，今日與我，我日用糧，而免我債，如我亦免負我債者，又不我許陷於誘惑，乃求我於凶惡。阿門。

    （白話文）: 我們的天父，願祢的名受顯揚，願祢的國來臨；願祢的旨意奉行在人間，如同在天上。求祢今天賞給我們日用的食糧；求祢寬恕我們的罪過，如同我們寬恕別人一樣；不要讓我們陷於誘惑；但救我們免於兇惡。阿們。

    Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
    Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

  • Hail Mary 聖母經： (前一段是天使和聖母的表姊向聖母說的話，後一段是教會向聖母祈求。)

    (文言文): 萬福瑪利亞，滿被聖寵者，主與爾偕焉； 女中爾為讚美，爾胎子耶穌並為讚美。 天主聖母瑪利亞，為我等罪人，今祈天主，及我等死候。 阿門。

    (白話文): 萬福瑪利亞，妳充滿聖寵，主與妳同在，妳在婦女中受讚頌，妳的親子耶穌同受讚頌。 天主聖母瑪利亞，求妳現在和我們臨終時，為我們罪人祈求天主。 阿們。

    Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

  • The Glory Be 聖三光榮頌： (是教會向天主聖三的讚頌。)

    願光榮歸於父、及子及聖神。起初如何，今日亦然，直到永遠。阿們。

    Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
