聖城通訊自1987年創刊以來，歷經許多前輩編輯的努力，曾經發行過近卅年。2016年之後因為編輯人手不足，不再印製發行，但是仍然有見證文章陸續登在聖城通訊網上篇。有鑑於聖城通訊的重要性，現在主的召叫之下，再次出發，仍以促進聖荷西華人天主教會教友與天主聖三及普世教友或非教友之共融合一為宗旨。期望以文字福傳實踐天父召叫我們「彼此相愛」的聖訓，進而相伴成聖。
這份通訊關注聖言、靈修心得、福傳經驗以及信仰及家庭生活的分享。同時，通訊也會報導聖人傳記、修會歷史、節慶及普世教會堂區報導等內容。
