As our nation commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence this year, the U.S. bishops have announced a historic and spiritually profound decision. On June 11, 2026, the U.S. bishops will officially consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
To prepare our hearts for this national consecration, the U.S. Church will unite in praying a special Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus from June 3 to June 11. All parishes and families across the country are warmly encouraged to join together in this powerful time of prayer, drawing from the deep spiritual traditions of the Litany of the Sacred Heart and Pope Francis’ encyclical Dilexit Nos.
